Stop guessing which point. Three yuan points, chosen for this patient, and a change she feels before she leaves the table.
A method from my own clinic. You re-check the result minutes later, not next week. Use it on its own, or next to whatever you already do.
You know the cases.
What stalls them is rarely the tissue. It is a nervous system that has lost its connection with the movement system, stuck between sympathetic and parasympathetic.
Dynamic Acupuncture works on exactly that. Three yuan (source) points, chosen for this patient rather than from a table, help re-establish that connection and settle the balance. Repeatable, visit after visit. Filmed in my clinic. Learned in one evening.
He gives me a number. Minutes later, he gives it again.
Nothing here is arranged for the camera: a number before anything is done, the procedure inside an ordinary appointment, then the same question again. He answers before I finish asking.
Not every pattern moves in one visit. The course spends a whole lesson on what to do when it does not.
What changes on Monday
- You choose the points from the pulse, not from habitThe reading makes the decision, so you don't carry it home.
- You find out today, not in two weeks. The re-check happens while the patient is still with you.
- You have a sentence for the sceptic on the table: "Give me a number now. I will ask again in a few minutes."
- You can explain the mechanism in one sentenceTo a patient or to her physician, and it holds up.
- The pulse stops being a ritual and becomes an instrumentTaken before and after, because now it answers a question you asked.
How it works
Every acupuncturist knows Jing, Yuan Qi and the twelve yuan points — and almost nobody uses them as a system. Dynamic Acupuncture does one deliberate thing with them: it restores the connection between the primary meridians and Jing through the source points. Read in the other language, that is the nervous system letting go of a pattern it was holding.
The energy changes first; the functional change follows within minutes.
The joint and the muscle first, because those you can test on the spot, and often something the patient reports from the inside as well. That is what makes a re-check in the same visit possible at all, and it is why the protocol is built around one.
Heart-rate-variability work published in 2025 recorded acupuncture modulating vagal and sympathetic activity in real time, still measurable five to ten minutes after the session1. Cited for the timing only, not as a claim about your patient.
Reach for Dynamic Acupuncture when
- The patient is better in general, but one symptom will not leaveThe elbow that survives a good base treatment, the headache that comes back, the stomach that reacts to everything. The pattern that produces it was not touched.
- The complaint has no movement to testDigestion, sleep, energy, cycles, breathing, "nothing specific, I just don't feel well". There is no movement test for that; there is a pulse.
- The reaction is bigger than the stimulusIrritability, tension, low mood, the body that stays braced long after a difficult experience. Stress works as the diagnostic stimulus just as pain does.
- Pain that keeps returning, including the one that arrives as an attack. In my own clinic I have stopped a migraine attack this way three times so far. Three cases, stated as three cases, not a promise.
- The Chain worked, and you want it to hold. The Chain for the movement, Dynamic Acupuncture for the pattern underneath. Same visit, a few minutes more.
Run your base treatment. If the symptom has not moved, add this.
It sits inside the system you already practise: TCM patterns, Five Elements, orthopaedic acupuncture, The Chain. Sometimes it stands alone.
Nineteen people who had no reason to be kind about it
All nineteen reported a change. Around two hundred treatments have followed since.
A yoga workshop, not my clinic. Nineteen participants, none of them my patients; several said out loud, before I started, that they did not believe in acupuncture. I worked through them one after another on two chairs and asked each one the same question afterwards.
"The energy changes immediately. We only wait for the functional change."
Dr Michal Richter — from the closing lesson of this courseTo be exact about what that is and is not: nineteen people at one workshop, self-reported, on the day. Not a controlled trial, and not a claim that it works for everything. It is the reason I stopped treating this as a private habit and started teaching it.
One comparison, not twenty-eight qualities
Which of the twelve positions is the weakest right now? You are not classifying — you are comparing. It is learnable in an evening, and it is the level at which two practitioners get the same answer.
Lesson 4 of Pulse Essentials is open below.
What's inside
8 lessons · filmed sessions · cheat sheet · 18-page workbook · English subtitles · built backwards from the treatment table.
It is short on purpose.
You are not paying for hours of video — you are paying for a repeatable procedure with a verification step. Most students watch the whole thing in one evening and run it on a patient the next day.
Two ways in. The difference is the pulse.
Dynamic Acupuncture — Source Point Regulation

Already own Pulse Diagnosis — 12 Positions? This is your version.
Dynamic Acupuncture + Pulse Essentials
- Everything in Dynamic Acupuncture — all eight lessons
- Pulse Essentials — eight short lessons, 29 minutes: fingertips, the twelve positions, the weakest one
- Printable position map and strength sheet
- One course, one price, in the order that works
Unless you already use the twelve positions on every patient, take this one.
Want the full Pulse Diagnosis — 12 Positions course as well? It is offered at checkout for $129 instead of $169 — that price exists only there. For context: a weekend seminar runs $400–800 plus travel and two days out of your clinic; two or three visits where you apply this cover the course entirely.
Dr Michal Richter, MD
Physician and acupuncturist — 25 years of daily practice, 20–30 patients a day in my clinic in Katowice, Poland. I developed Dynamic Acupuncture out of the integration of classical acupuncture with neuroscience, tested it on my own patients, then in public. I teach only what I use myself, filmed in the same room where I see patients.
Common questions
What do I need to know before I start?
One narrow skill: finding which of the twelve pulse positions is the weakest. No twenty-eight qualities, no years of pulse study. If you do not read the pulse yet, take Dynamic Acupuncture + Pulse Essentials — one course, $199 — so you learn the skill and the method in the order that works.
My pulse diagnosis is not good enough for this.
It probably is. You need one comparison, and the course shows you how to make the weakest position stand out clearly. Most practitioners reach that level in a day or two of practice on whoever sits in front of them.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The amount on this page is the amount on your card — all taxes, including EU VAT, are already included. One payment, lifetime access.
Does it work in every patient?
No. Nineteen of nineteen at the first public test, around two hundred treatments since, and sessions on camera where you hear the limits named out loud — but not one hundred percent for everything. Nobody has invented such a method. What you get is knowing immediately whether it worked.
I practise TCM, Five Elements or Stems and Branches. Will it fit?
Yes — that is the design. The method is independent of style and asks you to abandon nothing. Run your base treatment; if the symptom has not moved, add this.
Can I see how you teach before I buy?
Yes — three lessons are open, no signup, no card: Introduction — Nineteen out of Nineteen, Factory Settings — Why the Yuan Points Work, and from Pulse Essentials Train Your Fingers — Sensitivity Drills.
Does it come with CEU/PDA credits?
No. This is a clinical skill, and the proof is not paperwork — it is your patient giving you a different number at the end of the visit. If what you need this quarter is PDAs, there are cheaper ways to get them.
What happens if I ask for the refund?
You write one email within 14 days — to me. You get 100% back. No forms, no questions. The method is verified by your re-check on a real patient, not by how hard it is to leave.
The next patient sits down — and you read instead of guess.
Three yuan points. Re-check in minutes.
